The tool operates as an automated external request bot (crawler) to fetch publicly available data from the specified domain.
While we strive for high accuracy and availability, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the Service will be undisturbed, secure, or free from operational constraints, particularly when interfacing with third-party web servers that may block or throttle our automated requests.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
When using Signal Index, you agree to utilize the tool responsibly and ethically. You must adhere to the following acceptable use policies:
- Authorized Scanning: You agree to only scan web properties that you own, operate, or have explicit authorization to audit. You must not use our tool to perform aggressive reconnaissance on competitor websites in a manner that constitutes a Denial of Service (DoS) attack, scraping for malicious intents, or vulnerability probing.
- Rate Limiting: While we do not impose hard limits on standard usage, any attempt to bypass the frontend interface to flood our backend servers with automated API requests (unless explicitly granted API access) is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently IP-ban users who abuse the scanning frequency.
- No Interference: You agree not to interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service, the servers, or the networks connected to the Service. Any attempt to modify, reverse-engineer, or inject malicious code into the Signal Index platform will result in immediate termination of access and potential legal action.
- Lawful Purposes: You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You shall not use the tool to index or distribute illegal material, coordinate illegal activities, or facilitate any violations of local, state, national, or international laws.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
All content, features, functionality, software, design, and graphics enclosed within Signal Index are the exclusive property of Signal Index and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of the Company. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our codebase or visual aesthetics without authorization.
The SEO data generated by the scans belongs to you and the respective domain owners. We do not claim ownership of the reports you export, nor do we retain proprietary databases of your scanning histories beyond the ephemeral session data required to render the report.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. Signal Index is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
Signal Index its subsidiaries, affiliates, and its licensors do not warrant that exactly 100% of all SEO issues will be found. Due to the dynamic nature of web servers, dynamic rendering, and JavaScript execution, our crawler acts as a best-effort simulator of standard search engine bots. We do not warrant that our interpretations of meta directives perfectly align with Google's or Bing's proprietary indexing algorithms at any given moment.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Signal Index, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
This includes scenarios where following the data or reports generated by Signal Index leads to drops in search engine rankings, de-indexing, or related financial losses. SEO implementation based on our reports is entirely the responsibility of the webmaster.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Signal Index operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
